The City of Tigard is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Stone, P.E. as city engineer.
“Mike brings vast experience with infrastructure and transportation projects and is a highly respected member of the local engineering community,” said Public Works Director Dennis Koellermeier. Mr. Stone holds a degree in civil engineering from Oregon State University and has served as the city engineer for the City of Wilsonville for the past 19 years. Prior to this, Mr. Stone worked for the City of Tualatin as a civil engineer for 10 years. Mr. Stone will join the city on January 3, 2012.
On Tuesday, October 4, Council voted 5 - 0 to offer the city manager position to Marty Wine and has authorized staff to negotiate a contract. Ms. Wine received a Bachelor of Arts Political Science degree from Western Washington University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Seattle University. She began working for the City of Renton, WA in 2006 and now serves as the assistant chief administrative officer. Prior to this, Ms. Wine was a principal associate for Berk and Associates, a local and regional public sector consulting firm in Seattle, WA. Her work experience includes serving as a senior budget analyst for the City of Bellevue, WA from 1997 to 1998 and as a King County, WA budget analyst from 1994 to 1997.
