Power Outage Map and Info

We’ll help you get prepared for possible power outages.Winter weather is just ahead! And even though PGE works hard to prevent power outages, sometimes, severe wind, snow and ice can knock out even the most reliable of electrical systems. We’re prepared to respond instantly to problems, and our new online outage map is already up and running. Now it’s your turn to get prepared.

See new online outage informationCustomers asked for it, and we responded. Our Web site now has information on current power outages, including a map showing outage locations, and a list of outages by county and zip code. You can also see estimated repair times.*
In our Outage section you’ll also find advice on what to do in a power outage, generator safety tips and other helpful information.

Get our new outage brochureWe just updated our “How to Prepare for a Power Outage” brochure, which can help you stay safe and comfortable if your lights go out. You can download the brochure (PDF) or pick it up at any PGE Community Office. This is a handy guide to keep in your outage kit.

Put together an outage kitEvery home should have an outage kit. Basics should include:
· Flashlight
· Battery-powered radio
· Wind-up or battery-powered alarm clock
· Extra batteries
· Manual can opener
· A copy of the PGE “How to Prepare for a Power Outage” (PDF) brochure
Remember to change batteries periodically.

Or, you might consider purchasing a ready-made Red Cross emergency kit that will help you be prepared for a power outage or a serious emergency. Visit the Red Cross online store.
